Last week I biked to Horseshoe Bay and ferried over to Bowen Island. It was the simplest of day trips - I was only gone about seven hours - but it was a vacation nonetheless. The sky was bright, the air cool and clean, and Bowen was awfully charming. I have a feeling even their landfill is quaint.
I had lunch at Artisan Eats (which I highly recommend) then walked around and discovered all I could. Here are some pictures from my day of adventuring, including a lovingly-shot portrait of a dilapidated cottage. It was the white chocolate cream cheese icing on my oh-so-delicious cake of a day.

Gorgeous photos, Linds! I love that ride to HS Bay. I should follow your lead and do a similar day trip sometime soon...

ReplyDeleteGreat photos Linds! That must have been quite the bike ride to Horseshoe Bay. Did you bike through North Van, than along the back roads? I love that route!
